VRIJDAG 23 MEI 2008

555 bezoeken. In de Top 100 van 4704 verwijzende pagina's speciale belangstelling voor 29. FC CERVANTES VITESSE 66. NET WERKEN en 88. CERVANTESONLINE BELGIË EL JUEGO DE DAMAS Van Trafford Publishing ontving ik het volgende bericht inzake de promotie van mijn boek LETTERS TOT DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES in LOS ANGELES en TORONTO. Dear Trafford author: You are receiving this email as a participant in BookExpo America, BookExpo Canada or the Spring/Summer Trafford Catalogue. BookExpo America Trafford staff are busy with final preparations for attending BookExpo America. For those of you with books on display in the Trafford Boothstore, your books will be arriving in Los Angeles a few days before the exhibition is due to open at the Los Angeles Convention Centre on May 29. For those with books at the New Title Showcase booth at BookExpo America, your books are currently in the hands of the NTS staffers and will be set up a few days before the fair's opening. BookExpo Canada After BookExpo America, BookExpo Canada will be in TORONTO June 15 and June 16. Trafford staff will again be attending, and books are currently being printed or have been shipped for both the New Title Showcase booth at BookExpo Canada or the Trafford Boothstore. Trafford catalog The Trafford Spring/Summer Catalog is almost complete. Our graphic designer is putting the finishing touches on the catalog, which is almost 40 pages in full colour - it looks great! Copies will be accompanying Trafford staff to both book expos, and will be online at Trafford's website shortly thereafter. If you would like a hard copy copy of the catalog, please send me an email anytime after June 17. We look forward to your feedback on it - it's our first-ever catalog, and have worked hard to make it stand out. BookExpo America attendees For those lucky few attending BookExpo America, just remember that BookExpo America will be your book's best-ever opportunity to get noticed. At no other event in the world will you have such a chance to network with publishers, agents, scriptwriters, etc. to the degree that you will at BookExpo America. Trafford staff will be there to guide you, but the majority of the legwork will have to be done by you. All too often we see authors with excellent books waste this opportunity by waiting for business to come to them! As an author, you need to be positive, respectful and completely professional in order to make some publishing inroads at BEA. The important thing to remember is that every single person you meet at BEA is a potential lead, potential buyer or potential ally in getting your book out to the public. Learn as much you can about them - contact information, their background, what they want to achieve by meeting you, how you can help them, etc. There are also lots of great sites available about networking - not all of these specifically relate to books, but you can adjust where necessary...
